It is hard not to fall in love with camping. It is a break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A place where there’s always an ice cold drink, a warm campfire and friends and family.
Over the years the memories that always stuck with me the most about being a kid was when summer rolled around. My cousin and I would build a pillow fort out on the back deck and run around catching fireflies until we were ready to pass out. Camping brings back all of the feels of summer. The hot summer nights, eating smores until the sun came up getting grass stains on our jeans and bruises on our knees. The fresh sting of a sun burn and the cool waves that would wash all of our tears away and bring back the smiles. Camping lets me do it all over again as an adult.
I camp to get away from it all, to explore and to take my little creature comforts with me. It brings back all of the warm endearing memories of us wandering around the yard trying to find the perfect place under the stars.
