Maiden Voyage or how I learned to stop worrying and love my camper

Last weekend I got to take Lulu (My 2012 R-Pod 182G) out for her first trip to the local KOA! Needless to say I was extremely excited.

Setting up was not as bad as I thought. I arrived late Thursday evening after I got off of work and was very happy that even though they were gone for the day they had a Campground Directory and a campsite ready for me to go. (A big perk of making reservations in advance) Everything was pretty self-explanatory when it came to setting up camp. Unfortunately, I did not make sure that I had an extra extension cord and water hose before I left for my camping adventure. So I had to jockey the camper around a bit until I was able to get it in such a way that I was able to hook it up with what I had in my arsenal.

I went for a late night walk after I started a fire to take a look around and see what activities they had and to scope out their facilities. A couple of my friends were coming to hang out on Friday and I wanted the low-down. I liked that they have a bunch of activities preplanned. There is always something to do. Each weekend they have things going on. The weekend I went was the fishing tournament weekend! It was awesome seeing everyone out having a blast! They also have a volleyball court, basketball court, and a playground. You can also rent bikes (including recumbent bikes which I have ALWAYS wanted to try) as well as paddleboats. They make a good point of helping you get out and enjoy summer and just be a kid again.  It was a blast being out in such beautiful weather enjoying it!

I am looking forward to visiting there again soon! I was impressed with the facilities and everything they had to offer for my camping trip!
